We are officially "Vegan"!!! With great pride, I announce that ëska products have received the international Vegan certification. What's more, we are the first in Belarus to achieve this. And we received it on the birthday of one of ëska's founders. Joy!

We have always adhered to an ethical approach to animals within our brand, and now we have received the beloved "sunflower." Soon, you will see it on our packaging.

Founded in the United Kingdom in November 1944, The Vegan Society is the oldest vegan society in the world. They even created the word "vegan" by taking the first three and last two letters of the word "vegetarian."

This was the beginning of an adventure aimed at a healthy, respectful, and happy life. It was founded by Donald Watson and his wife Dorothy, along with four friends, including Elsie Shrigley, Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Henderson, and Fay K. Henderson.

What Does the Vegan Trademark Mean?

If a product is certified with the Vegan trademark, it means that the product has been tested for compliance with The Vegan Society’s strict standards and does not contain animal ingredients, nor has it been tested on animals. It is the most reliable and recognized certification for vegan standards, regulated by a team of veganism experts.

What Does it Take to Get the Vegan Trademark?

To have a product certified with the Vegan trademark, a brand can submit their product for registration here.

Then, a team of experts will carefully examine the product to ensure it contains no animal ingredients and has not been tested on animals. After successful verification, the brand can proudly display the Vegan trademark on its product(s) to help vegans or those seeking vegan alternatives be confident that the product meets the strictest standards.

ëska successfully passed this verification and confirmed that all tests are conducted on volunteers, and our ingredients contain no animal products.
